Yes. KIMI has extensive expertise in 4-stroke crankshaft replacement and repair, both onboard and in-house.
We are approved by Bureau Veritas (BV) for the restoration of crankshafts using advanced laser cladding, allowing damaged journals to be rebuilt back to nominal dimensions in full compliance with class requirements.
All precision grinding operations are carried out in-house, with the capability to handle crankshafts of up to 7 meters in length, ensuring strict quality control, fast turnaround, and OEM-standard accuracy.
This enables KIMI to provide reliable solutions even in cases of severe crankshaft damage, minimizing downtime and avoiding costly replacements where possible.
